Lace Shawl & Turtle Neck
From Woolgathering Designs. Is it folly to desire warmth with your lace?
Not when your lace is the pattern in your sweater. Knit in the Fair Isle tradition, but of just two colors, the turtleneck is warm as a sweater, light and delicate as lace. Or, knit the large lace shawl - one lace pattern repeated throughout makes an easy project for an intermediate knitter.
Finished shawl size is 72" x 63.5". Uses 1600 yards of sport weight yarn.

Fair Isle pullover in 3 sizes (finished bust 38, 43, 46.5") uses 1200, 1350, 1500 yards of sport weight yarn in color A, and 750, 900, 1050 yards in color B.
