Dorothy loves to knit shawls. She also loves to wear them, with everything from jeans to evening dresses. She thinks that everyone needs at least one shawl in their life, so her focus with Fiddlesticks Knitting is on designing and marketing shawls kits and patterns.
While she enjoys all forms of knitting, lace is a particular favourite, and her designs reflect this. She tries to present a gamut of ideas from simple to complex in order to appeal to as many knitters as possible. She hopes her designs will lure more people into knitting shawls.
Her professional experience is as a graphic designer and illustrator (she's a graduate of the Ontario College of Art). She finds that designing shawls is a great way to combine her design experience with her love of knitting.
