Twisted Traditions
Lorraine Condotta
Knitwear Designer - Hand - Fair Isle |

Lorraine began knitting almost 20 years ago. Discovering a deep interest in the history of the craft led to a passion for classic Fair Isle and Aran knitting. She believes it is worth seeking the finest traditional yarns, as these are heirloom quality garments, classic, timeless and ultimately wearable.
She began designing in 2004, starting Twisted Traditions, featuring the colors of today, with the styles of the past. Look for the odd chest pattern in the Fair Isles, a feature of Twisted Traditions. Two unisex Aran patterns were added to the pattern lineup in 2007, and they are available in PDF format from the website.
It is her hope that everyone will discover the joys of cable and colourwork. She talks about her favorite subject on her knitblog. |
