Lauren Judge is a hand-knitter and knitwear designer from Kitchener, Ontario. She has been hand-knitting for almost 20 years. She learned the basics of knitting from her Nan and her grandmother Joy, and the rest is self-taught.
Lauren recently decided to pursue her love for the fibre arts full-time. In December 2006 she started her own label called Touch Me Knot. |
Lauren's style is simple and modern, with a knack for showing off the quality of natural yarns. Her designs are inspired by the need to stay warm and comfortable, while bringing out the luxury of natural materials.
She uses mostly wools, alpaca, organic cotton, cashmere, silk blends, and soy yarns. Lauren looks forward to publishing a book of her own designs from the Touch Me Knot label. |
Touch Me Knot is a small business selling hand-knit scarves and accessories, made exclusively with natural yarns. Products include scarves and accessories for men, women, children, and the home.
Each year, Touch Me Knot releases a small collection designed with a theme. The 2008 collection is called "Natural Beauty" and features lace scarves, wraps, leg warmers, ponchos and cowls, using natural colours and inspired by nature. |
