Lori Law learned to knit before she could read. Even back then, more than thirty years ago, she was flooded with ideas of what to make with this newly learned pastime. Since then, she has spent much time learning everything she could about knitting and many other arts and handicrafts, to fuel her compulsive (obsessive?) creative urges.
|

Over the years, her zest for creativity has lead her in many directions, including a Fine Arts degree from the University of Guelph in Ontario, as well as professional music and writing. She once owned a restaurant, has worked as a picture framer and in retail fashion, and more recently at a local yarn shop. She also works as a web designer. |

Looking to combine a career which enabled her to further develop her 'knitting directions' as well as be available to her children, Oceanwind Knits was launched late in 2005, in BC. Lori has since moved everything to Ontario, returning to her home province.
Her work focuses on incorporating clean lines with definitive detailing. She works ardently (ie. she will knit something twenty times if it takes twenty times) to achieve 'that little something' which takes a conventional design to another level. |

In 2006 she added hand-painted yarns to her offerings.
She knows if she lived to be 200 years old she would still not have knit all the ideas she has.
