Lucy is a devoted hand knitter living in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She believes that the art of handknitting is seriously undervalued and would like to change this perception! The textures and colours of the yarns she uses lead to detailed designs - intended to make the most of every stitch worked.
Knitting offers an incomparable source of pleasure and satisfaction. Lucy offers a wide range of workshops and talks to share techniques and her enthusiasm with all knitters, to assist them to achieve the results they desire.
Tradewinds Knitwear Designs is a small company set up to market Lucys' patterns and knitting kits. Many of the kits feature high quality Canadian yarns from smaller luxury yarn producers, patterns are intended to be helpful and user friendly!
Knitting Guilds are a wonderful way to both make friends and build confidence in your skills. As the number of Guilds across Canada grows we will raise both the status and awareness of knitting. Be proud of your knitting!
