Wannietta has been knitting professionally for over 15 years and for the sheer joy of it for most of her life. She loves knitting for the feel of the yarn, the look of the fabric and for having something beautifully crafted to show for her time.

All of the knitting time that Wannietta puts in paid off – she’s won the title of Canada’s Fastest Knitter for 3 years in a row at the Creativfestival in Toronto and won 3rd place in the International Fastest Knitter competition at Knit Out ’08 in Minneapolis.

She has experience in lace knitting, intarsia, fairisle and her most favorite - aran patterns. Sweaters, afghans, socks, shawls – anything is fair game! She loves trying new patterns and styles and is daunted by nothing, including deadlines. Wannietta has knit for designers Veronik Avery, Bonne Marie Burns, Elise Duvekot, Fiona Ellis and Joanne Yordanou, amongst others.
